PCS products are designed to use standard powerlines to communicate control signals without additional wiring, providing customers an affordable, flexible lighting control system.

From Invention to the Standard

PCS's focus on innovation in the lighting control market stems from the invention of the UPB™ (Universal Powerline Bus) technology. Adopted as a communications standard primarily for lighting control, UPB™ can also be applied for Heating Ventilation & Air Conditioning, appliance control, and Internet-to-Appliance device communication. PCS markets residential products utilizing its patented UPB™ technology under its PulseWorx™ brand in addition to licensing the technology to other manufacturers in the home control industry.

PCS's latest invention, IPC (Industrial Powerline Communications), is the first retrofittable lighting control technology for industrial and commercial applications. Based on PCS's award-winning UPB™ technology, IPC has been developed specifically for high noise, high attenuation environments.
