Top 10 Generation II Features and Benefits
- Improved Communication between devices – Engineering has upgraded the way UPB communicates with improved algorithms that will enable the UPB signal to power thru even extremely noisy environments.
- Enhanced Noise Immunity - Generation I devices sometimes would not respond even manually if there was a certain amount of noise on the powerline. Generation II now alleviates this type of situation.
- Adjustable Receive Sensitivity on Devices – Each device can now have it’s receive sensitivity adjusted within UPStart. This feature will enable the devices to improve how well they hear an UPB command in noisy environments.
- Blue LED’s – the industry has been requesting blue status LED’s and PCS has responded with all wall switches coming with a Blue/Red LED and the KPC devices now come with blue LED indicators to give them a modern “high-tech” look.
- Auto-off Timers on all devices – Each device can now automatically turn off after a preset time, between 1-240 minutes, after it has been turned on. This is great for bathrooms, closets and kids rooms. Each device can also be configured to transmit a specified command to a specific Link.
- Three Split Phase Repeaters have been added to the product line. One wire-in and two plug-in versions of an overlapping Split-Phase Repeater have been added to eliminate attenuation issues in very large homes and standard cross phase problems by repeating any multi-packet UPB signal to the opposite phase.
- Money Back Guarantee - PCS is so confident in the Gen II technology upgrades that we are now offering our Certified PulseWorx Dealers a one year money back guarantee. There are a few rules, here they are in a nutshell:
- System must have been installed by a Certified PulseWorx Dealer.
- The system must be PulseWorx Generation II firmware 5.0 or higher items only.
- The house must be on a split phase electrical system and be no larger than 15K sq. ft. with less than 6 electrical panels.
- An SPR must be in the system.
- If there are any issues the Dealer must work with the PCS’ technical support and engineering team to rectify the situation.
- If the PCS team can not rectify the situation PCS will purchase the product back directly from the dealer.
- See the terms and conditions document for the small print.
- Blink Link – this flashing scene has now been added as standard preset link 8 in all Receivers. The blink rate can be adjusted from 1/2 sec to 4.25sec in 1/2 sec increments. This is great for alarm situations or for aiding the hearing impaired.
- LED Presets – Now you have even greater flexibility in configuring what the LED indicators do when scenes are activated or buttons are pressed. Turn ON; Turn OFF, Nothing, Opposite.
- Rocker/Keypad Quick Tap – Generation I WMC units and WS1D switches waited about 1 second when you double tapped either the switch or button before transmitting or reacting. This delay is no longer an issue.
