Solve powerline noise and attenuation problems with an array of PulseWorx tools.
Most residences in the U.S. are supplied with 240VAC at the power transformer which is split into two separate legs (or phases) of 120V each. The UPB signal is typically strong enough that signals generated on one phase of the powerline travel through the power transformer and show up on the other phase as well. No other powerline communication technology even compares to UPB in its ability to cross phases. In larger homes attenuation is a culprit that may reduce the signal strength.
Split Phase Repeater(SPR-1, SPR-3, SPR-4)
The SPR Split-Phase Repeater is a small electronic device that is designed to enhance the communication reliability between devices that use the Universal Powerline Bus (UPB™) method of communication (such as PulseWorx™ devices). It is designed to be used in a typical residential 120/240VAC split-phase electrical environment. The SPR comes in both plug-in and wire-in models. The main purpose of the SPR is to increase powerline communication reliability by taking UPB™ messages transmitted on one phase (leg) of the electrical system and strongly repeating them on to the other phase (leg).
Wire-in and Plug-in Models
The SPR comes in both plug-in and wire-in models. The SPR-1 is designed to install in a suitable junction box and wire to two phases (circuits) and neutral of the circuit breaker panel. The SPR-3 is designed to plug into any 3-socket 240V electrical outlet. The SPR-4 is designed to plug into any 4-socket 240V electrical outlet.
Passive Phase Coupler (PPC-1, PPC-3, PPC-4)
The Passive Phase Coupler (PPC) is a small electronic device that is designed to enhance the communication reliability between devices that use the Universal Powerline Bus (UPB™) method of communication (such as PulseWorx™ devices). It couples UPB communication signals generated on one phase of the powerline onto the other phase of the powerline. The PPC is designed to be used in a typical residential 120/240VAC split-phase electrical environment.
Wire-in and Plug-in Models
The PPC comes in both plug-in and wire-in models. The PPC-1 is designed to install in a suitable workbox and wire to two phases (circuits) of the circuit breaker panel. The PPC-3 is designed to plug into any 3-socket 240V electrical outlet. The PPC-4 is designed to plug into any 4-socket 240V electrical outlet.
Powerline Filter – 3.8 Amps (PLF-5)
The PLF-5 Powerline Filter is a small plug-in device designed to reduce electrical noise generated by certain electrical devices from reaching the powerline which might interfere with PulseWorx products’ ability to communicate with one another.
The PLF-5 is designed to be plugged into a standard electrical outlet with the noisy electrical device plugged into it. The PLF-5 is rated for 120VAC electrical devices that draw 3.8 Amps or less. It contains a single electrical outlet for plugging in a single device or power strip.
Powerline Filter – 15 Amps (PLF-15)
The PLF-15 Powerline Filter is a plug-in device designed to reduce electrical noise generated by certain electrical devices from reaching the powerline which might interfere with PulseWorx products’ ability to communicate with one another.
The PLF-15 comes with a power cord that is designed to be plugged into a standard electrical outlet with the noisy electrical device plugged into it. The PLF-15 is rated for 120VAC electrical devices that draw 15 amps or less. It contains two electrical outlets for plugging in multiple devices or power strips.
In-Line Choke Filter (ILC)
The ILC In-Line Choke is a small wire-in electronic device that is designed to be installed to keep electrical noise generated by certain electrical devices off of the powerline which interfere with the PulseWorx products’ ability to communicate with one another.
